Our Tech team are the foundation for a lot of the groundbreaking work we do here at Streetbees 🧑💻
In this article, we’re shining a spotlight on some of our Tech team members, so you can get to know them 👇
What got you into engineering/tech?
→ When I was very young like 6/7 I usually would visit my dad at his work, which was an administration department, and they had those really old computers with black screens and green letters, and when he was on his break, I would usually just type random stuff in there and feel very cool and that's how I decided I wanted to work with computers. The engineering interest came from playing so many games and being on those random websites pre-2010 so much that I wanted to learn how to make them, and that's what I did and still am learning to this day, which is the best part of engineering. - Miguel Almeida

What does a typical day in the engineering/tech team look like?
→ A normal day it's just me, the dark matrix-like screen and white keyboard, typing some weirdo instructions, called programming, and reviewing some others. - Joao Marcus
What is the most exciting aspect of working on SBX?
→ Building a machine that runs smoothly, scales under pressure and makes great use of cutting edge AI abilities! - Noam
What do you think the future of LLMs will look like?
→ Very interesting and somewhat scary but in a good way, when new tech scares people, it usually means we are onto something. - Miguel
If not working in tech, what else would you love to do?
→ I would like to be a surfing instructor. - Angelina Kim
Anything else about the team you'd want to highlight?
→ Great culture of diversity, humbleness, truth, freedom, openness and generosity and this makes all the difference! - Noam
